Who’s the oldest musician you’ve ever heard play live? The oldest musician I’ve ever seen play live was famous jazz drummer Buddy Rich when he was in his 60s. Most musicians lose their capacity to perform at a high level once they reach a certain age — playing live music is hard work. It’s what makes us appreciate musicians who can still play at an old age.
Meet Bob Wood of Nashville, Tennessee. He’s 81 years old, but you wouldn’t believe it based on his incredible guitar playing. Bob walked into a music store one day, and decides to pick up a guitar, an instrument that he had been playing for most of his life.
When the store staff saw him pick up the guitar, they didn’t know what to expect. They thought there was no way this old man could play the guitar well. Their doubt left them even more stunned when Bob starts to play an intricate and beautiful guitar riff.
As the saying goes, “never judge a book by its cover.”
Please SHARE this with your friends and family who love the guitar.
