Whale swallows diver and spits him out again

Whales are beautiful creatures and are usually very placid. Therefore human injuries and death announce are too rare. That said, a close encounter with one of these large mammals is still pretty scary, as one deep-sea diver found out recently.

The Incident

Whales are very terrifically mammals in the ocean. Because their look like monsters. If you saw a whale in front of you , automatically you are die. Anyhow this is a story about Rainier Schimpf how his destiny protected his life.

Rainier Schimpf is a deep sea diver, and director of Dive Experts Tours, was swimming just off the coast of Port Elizabeth Harbour, east of Cape Town when he was picked up in the mouth of a whale. The terrifying moment was captured on film as he and a group were documenting a sardine run. Schimpf first noticed the water churning around him and then all of a sudden, he was being sucked into the mouth of a Bryde whale. Bryce whales can reach up to 40-55 feet in length and are able to dive down to a depth of more than 300 meters. Schimpf, who was originally born in South Africa, managed to escape the large mammal’s mouth though, surviving what could have been a potentially fatal situation.

What happened?

During the day, Schimpf and his team had split into two groups. Their original aim was to document a sardine run that usually attracts a variety of sea life, including seals, dolphins, penguins, sharks, and whales. In total, the team was 25 nautical miles from shore when Schimpf started to notice the water was churning. Moments later, he ended up in a whale’s mouth, leaving him and his team shocked. Because this moment is unexpected.

Just before he was swallowed, Schimpf was filming a shark as it worked its way through the bait ball. Then suddenly his surroundings grew dark and he felt the massive beast grab his body. In an interview, he said he felt the pressure on his hip. He went on to say how there was no time for fear and instinct just took over him. He decided to hold his breath as he thought the whale was going to swim down and release him underwater. Luckily, this wasn't the case. According to his colleagues on the boats, who could do nothing but observe, a white spray came up out of the water before the whale emerged and spat Schimpf back out. He was then able to return to the boat. Fortunately, he was unharmed.

Possibly one of the scariest and strangest experiences anyone has had, this incident is going to spread over social media like wildfire. Schimpf is unbelievably lucky that he wasn't harmed whatsoever during this strange encounter. It's also quite an experience and definitely an ice breaker for the next family dinner. If that was me, I think I'd want to stay out of the water for a while. What do you think?
