Our vast oceans are, for the most part, still very much not explored. The mysteries of the deep are exactly that! However, a little change in perspective can show much of what we’ve been missing when it comes to ocean life. Captain Dave Anderson was bale to get this stunning footage off the coast of San Clemente when he flew one of his drones high up into the air. When that day he took his boat out he had no idea that he would be capturing this incredible footage!
Firstly, the crashing waves and frothy water near Dana Point, California happened to be quite ordinary. However, something was lurking just underneath the surface of the water. Most of us have seen the surreal beauty of stampeding animals migrating on land, but watching dolphins who are gracefully moving through the ocean is a sight to be seen. There are literally many dolphins in this migrating mega-pod!
It doesn’t end at that point! The inexpensive drone, which was having a GoPro camera, was able to film the ocean come alive in even more draw-dropping footage. Off the coast of Maui, Hawaii, the drone was able to film a large humpback whale mamma snuggling and playing with her baby calf. An “escort” whale can be seen keeping a vigilant eye on both of them nearby. The video below to shows how whales and dolphins spend their most private moments. This is a real-life documentary and it is one of the finest!
